Data Communication Networking Introductory

Overview

A theory/case study based learning approach, introducing the concepts of data communications, moving on to cover both Local Area Networks (LAN) and Wide Area Networks (WAN) technology. Course duration varies according to delegates; time spent on case studies and whether any hands on is required.

Duration - 2 Days.

Who will benefit

Anyone who requires a technical introduction to networks.

Prerequisites

None.

By the end of the course delegates will be able to describe:

By the end of the course delegates will be able to describe:

• The OSI seven layer model and recognise it's importance
• The principles of data transmission
• LAN and WAN technologies
• The appropriate protocols and standards
